This class is just what it says. It takes those kids with the beginnings and introductions already out of the way and aggressively teaches the techniques that are essential for the next step of paddling. The skills learned in this class
set the ground work for the young person who is interested in taking their skills up a notch from the beginner level. We teach the methods of boat scouting, self rescue, "read and run", boofing, and swiftwater paddling. This is the course that makes an interested youngster a serious paddler. This class is by appointment only and can be chartered for any size class of 5 students or under. Kids like Lauren Buress of Team Jackson Kayak were taught by a commitee of great friends and family. Now kids like her have great opportunities like Kentucky whitewater to learn the higher skills of paddling.
